17. *

I realize that accepting a part in a play requires responsibility to the whole drama production, from audtions, every rehearsal, and through production.

18. *

I will attend ALL rehearsals and contact the director, Beth Brady, prior to my absence if unable to attend.  I understand that my attendance is important at ALL rehearsals including ALL Civic Center practices. I have received or printed a copy of the rehearsal schedule.  Here is a copy to print.

19. *

I will take direction from the director(s) and practice voice projection.

20. *

Rehearsals: I will pay attention and be ready when I am to enter the scene(s). I understand the use of headphones or other distractions that would interfere with my attention to cues will not be permitted.

I will cooperate with the Director(s) in helping to keep the noise to a minimum during rehearsals. I understand that I can be dismissed from the rehearsal if I am asked to be quiet and do not do so. A parent/director meeting may be required to be reinstated for future rehearsals.

21. *

I will treat our costume and hair/makeup team with the upmost respect. While opinions will be considered, the leadership team will have the final say. This includes, but is not not limited to, being ready and available at the request of the team without arguement or complaint. Due to the harsh stage lights ALL actors and actresses will be required to wear at least basic makeup for the production. Please contact the director prior to auditions with questions or concerns

22. *

I agree that I will not change my appearance after being cast in the LAH production - For example, I will not change my hair color, get a drastic hair cut, or new piercings, ect. (Feel free to communicate with the director regarding this rule)

23. *

I understand that rehearsals will require movement and action - therefore I will dress in a way that allows free movement without compromising my modesty.  To clarify what is required for rehearsal attire, please see the dress code listed below:

Dress Code: We strive to honor God in all things, love our friends, and respect our facility for their generosity. All attendees will strive to dress and behave in a way that honors these goals.

  • no midriffs, tanks, off the shoulder, or spaghetti straps

  • dresses should be at least fingertip length and undershorts are required for rehearsal

  • no sagging clothing that reveals undergarments (they should be “under” and not seen)
  • wear shoes that allow for walking, running, and moving freely and appropriately for the role in which cast
24. *

I will abide by the code of conduct expected by LAH Drama, including but not limited to the following:

Students are expected to behave in a manner that exemplifies a strong Christian ethic at all times. Students should be sensitive to those around them and should not conduct themselves in a offensive or inappropriate manner.

Cliques: Cliques among the Drama students are strongly discouraged. Students should try to get along, be team players, and show respect to every member involved in Drama. Each role will be treated equally as important.

Physical Contact: During production and rehearsals, there will be no kissing or intimate physical contact between actors, other than a hand kiss or innocent embrace during rehearsals and performances as instructed by the director.
