Shared Learning is a division of Lebanon Area Homeschool, Inc. Shared Learning is a cooperative effort of homeschooling parents coming together to share our knowledge and abilities for the benefit of our children. Shared Learning is a family event--we have a nursery for babies and classes available for all age ranges to 18. A parent is required to stay on-site during the classes.
Shared Learning meets at the First Freewill Baptist Church 280 N. Vanburen Ave, in Lebanon, MO for 6 classes each semester. Typically, we meet the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of September, October, and November for the Fall Semester and the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of March, April, and May for the Spring Semester, but this can vary due to facility or Drama production conflicts. We open with a family meeting at 8:45am and then we hold 3 class hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. We charge a fee of $25 per family each semester to cover costs of rent and other overhead expenses. Certain classes will have a fee to cover costs of class supplies.
We invite parents to teach classes that match their particular interests and skills. To become a teacher, we urge new families to 'try-out' Shared Learning for a semester to see how it works. If you are inspired to teach a class the next semester you can contact Tana Appleby or Dalton Taylor, who are in charge of class schedule, with your ideas. If you are not teaching, you are required to assist a teacher in two class hours. If you are teaching, you will also be assisting in one other class.
Important Info:
- Enrollment is first-come, first- served basis.
- Teachers, save your receipts and turn them in at the desk to be reimbursed for what you spend on your supplies.
- Snow days: If Lebanon schools are closed, then we will not be having classes.
- Payment can be made using the website once classes have been added.

Teachers, your assistant will need to teach the class. Call them and let them know what you had planned. If your absence is last minute (within 24 hours of class) you will need to text Kathy Bennett - 417.733.0874. Making these phone calls is very important as it allows the day to run smoothly. If you do not notify anyone that you will be missing, there is a $25 charge.
